This week was a pretty good week.

All of my classes are still going well and last Thursday was our first mentor meeting! We only had 6 or 7 students join us but they were all super engaged and seemed excited to start this program. Even though we only had a few students, according to the submission forms, we have at least 30 interested students!  We're planning on having events once every two weeks so hopefully more students will be able to join.

 

One of the students who filled out the submission form mentioned in the question box about being excited to learn more about this program and eventually becoming a Student Ambassador so I'm glad to see we have some mentees who are already interested in getting involved! I also created a GroupMe for all of the students we had so they are able to stay updated on upcoming events and connect with us and each other. 

This upcoming week I think I'm going to connect with my fellow mentors so we can plan on our next event.
