Week 8
This past week was pretty hectic because it was midterm weeks so I'm so glad those are over! This week not only consisted of writing midterm papers, but also emailing mentees and planning events for the Peer Mentor Program. This was a busy week and it looks like next week is going to be just as busy!
We're finally starting the process of getting mentor groups and scheduling 1:1 sessions with them. It's so weird to me because just this past summer I was a mentee and now I have 9 of my own mentees! I already have two sessions scheduled for next week and I'm so excited to meet with them because both of my mentees have already expressed an interest in wanting to get involved in the SOL program.
It's been a couple of weeks since our last Peer Mentor meeting, so this week I'm planning to have a movie night for all of our mentees! Since it's ~Spooky Season~, I figured we could watch a Halloween-themed movie on Disney +. So I'm excited to see how that turns out!
Also, I was nominated to be the ambassador to sit in on the Dean's Advisory Board! I'm not really sure what that all entails, but I'm having a meeting with Dean Lightner on Tuesday to go over what to expect for the first official meeting on Friday.
