This week was pretty slow in terms of classes and events. I just recently finished miterm exams in almost all of my classes, so this week wasn't very assignment heavy. I decided to take advantage of this and start to work on a final project due in my Intro to Organizational Communication class, so hopefully I can turn it in a bit earlier. 

 

On Wednesday, I worked a Black History Month event called "Black, College & Covid - Keep Your Head Up". The purpose of this event was to hear from a student panel what life is like being a student during COVID-19. It was a great opportunity for students (and faculty & staff) to open up about the struggles that many of us are facing right now. Next Thursday I'm hosting our first peer mentoring event so this week I've been working on emailing students, assigning mentor groups, and preparing the Powerpoint. I enjoyed planning for this program last semester, so I'm glad I had the opportunity to do it again this semester!
